At the end of the day Joey was walking out of the school when he saw Willie at the door. Joey just stood there waiting for him to leave.Then this car showed up and a person walked out of the car, grabbed Willie from behind and pushed him into the car and drove away. What should Joey do? Should he call the police, should he keep it a secret, should he tell someone? What could he do he was only a kid? If you like mysteries The Kidnappers by Willo Davis Roberts will be the book for you.
Olivia- Have you ever read the puppy place series? Well I would like to you interesting facts about The Puppy Place Scout Ellen Miles. In the story there is a younger brother that loves puppies and he also loves to pretend to be one too. Also every time the younger brother is sad Scout always cheers him up. The family is fostering Scout so they are trying to find him a new home. I think this book is a very good dog book and maybe someday you can check it out.
Kyle- In Hank The Cowdog and Monkey Business by John R. Erickson there is a strange red box that falls from a truck. What do you think is in the red box? In this story there is one main character named Hank that loves to run around the farm, but one day Hank sees a truck and a box falls off the truck into the field. Hank runs over to the box. Hank opens the red box you should read to find out what is in the red box. I recommend this book because it is always filled with action.
Johnathan- This book is about Roberto Clemente and how he struggled being black. But this did not affect him playing the sport that he loved. Roberto grew up in a small town and loved to play baseball. He used a smashed tin can as a ball and a guava brunch as a bat. African Americans were not allowed to be in the major league till Roberto was a teenager. When Jackie Robinson let black people play in the major league. Roberto felt like he had a chance to be a major league baseball player. I would recommend this book to you if you like baseball and if you like biographies about people.
Katie- Have you ever moved across the country? Well Howerd Jeeter is living this worst nightmare. His parents and him are moving across the country without even asking and they don’t even care. Everyone in Howard’s town act like he is invisible. But this one six-year old Molly is so annoying and Howard could use a friend but she isn’t exactly what he had in mind. Read The Kid in the Red Jacket by Barbara Park to find out what happens to Howard and his new town.
Trever- If you like the Marvel movies and you favorite character is Thor then Thor the Dark World is the book for you. Thor the warrior and also Lady Sif travel the cosmos to bring peace to the universe. Also an Ancient race of dark people that want revenge unleash a war against Asgard to claim what was taken from them many years ago and send the universe back into the darkness. Now the god of thunder must go on this most dangerous journey yet one that will reunite him with Jane Foster.You should read this book because this book has regular chapter book sections and it has a comic sections.Also it has a couple pictures. That's why I recommend this book.
Levi- Have you wanted to know what it is like to be at a dog? Then you should read Hank the Cow Dog: The Curse of the Incredible Priceless Corncob by John R. Erickson. There are two dogs named Hank and Drover. In the yard there is barn cat named Pete and him and the two dogs argue about food and an INCREDIBLE PRICELESS corncob. But Pete thinks he is smart and he tries to make a trade with Hank and Drover but is it worth it? Read this book to know what is with and if they make the trade. I recommend this book to people who like reading about dogs.
